AI video or a real shoot: how to choose

AI production is a different tool from filming, with different strengths. A short guide to picking the right one for your content.

We are an AI studio and we still tell some clients to pick up a camera. The two approaches are good at different things.

Choose AI when

  • You need a lot of content regularly and cannot organise shoots every week.
  • The idea needs a setting you cannot easily get to or build.
  • You want many versions of one ad to test against each other.
  • The product can be anchored with good photos.

Choose a shoot when

  • A real, recognisable person is the point: a founder, a chef, a customer.
  • The video depends on a real place people will visit, shown exactly as it is.
  • You are documenting something that really happened.

Or mix them

Some of the strongest pages mix both: real phone footage of the team, with AI product shots and ads around it. If your brief sits in the middle, say so at the start and we can plan for it.
