How AI reels are actually made

What happens between your message and a finished reel: what people decide, what the models do, and where the time goes.

1 min read

Most people picture AI video as typing a sentence and getting a reel back. A reel that sells something is a sequence of decisions, and most of them are made before any video is generated.

1. The idea and the hook

A reel has about two seconds to earn the next ten. We start with the hook: what is on screen in the first frame and what the first line says. If the hook is weak, nothing after it matters.

2. The look, designed as still images

Still images are quick to make and easy to judge. We design the key frames first, including the product, the person, the light and the colours. This is when your feedback is most useful and changes cost the least.

3. Motion, generated shot by shot

Each approved image becomes a short shot. We generate several takes and keep the one that holds together. Most takes are thrown away, which is normal.

4. The edit

Cutting to rhythm, captions, sound and music. Sound matters more than people expect: the same shot feels real with good sound and fake without it.

What this means for you

Bring your offer and one example of a reel you like. Expect to approve images before you see anything move.
